What we offer:
Tuesdays January 14 - 18 Ages 9-14 6:30pm - 7:30pm 10 classes $290 Illustration and Storytelling In this class students will work on finding and developing their own drawing style. We’ll experiment in sketchbooks with various 2D materials such as watercolor and gouache, crayon, marker, pencil, and collage to learn about their possibilities. This class will cover basic color theory, composition, perspective, and portrait/figure drawing. We’ll then combine these skills with storytelling to create a small book and/or set of drawings based on original stories, books, movies, or a song. We also hope to have a virtual visit from a published author and illustrator. This class is open to all levels and abilities. Students will be encouraged to find their own unique illustrative style and learn that there are many styles and techniques when it comes to illustrative drawing.
