What we offer:

(Camp 11) Heroes and Villains PM / June 30-July 4 / PM (Ages 5-10) 1pm-4pm (This camp will meet July 4) This camp will take a fun approach to thinking about what makes a hero and what makes a villain (you can't have one without the other!), via drawing, painting, storytelling, and sculpture. Throughout the week we will look at certain characters developed by each student in a storytelling setting, look at a bit of art history and pop culture (of heroes and villains), and a few classic stories to be inspired with. We will also sculpt and paint a 3D model based on one of our designs with Super Sculpey polymer clay. Super Sculpey is an easy to work with polymer clay that is commonly used by toy designers and the like to bring their ideas to life from 2D ideations. It is hand-sculpted, baked in an oven, and then painted with acrylic paint. (Just a note: this camp will not specifically focus on any one style of character design re: anime, etc.)
