What we offer:

Art Is Weird AND Messy! Fridays January 17 - March 21 / Ages 12-15 4:30 - 5:30pm 10 classes It's funny that young artists never feel "allowed" to get messy with their work. Sometimes making messy art, or making a mess in art, really just means going through a process to get from point A to point B...or taking a wandering path to arrive there. This class will look at and be inspired by several artists who frequently make messes with their work in a way that helps them find things that are unplanned and surprising. We will work with several media and combine them: from liquids to solids - charcoal, paint, clay, and wood chunks, for example - to take an artwork through a deliberate process, to make a mess of it, and come out the other end with something really cool and unexpected. This class will encourage the "active change" of an artwork : to obliterate, erase, crumple, destroy, in order to find something new. If you like this kind of experimental making process, then this class is for you! This class includes all materials and kiln firing fees. Taught by Branden Koch
